The best way to take care of your denim garments, especially your jeans, is to wash them as little as possible. Wearing your jeans for a minimum of five wears between washes will help to maintain their fit, shape and shade. You can spot clean in between washes using a damp cloth and mild soap. When it does come time to wash your denim, avoid soaking and bleaching. Choose a gentle machine cycle or handwash. If you’re using your machine, wash your denim inside out with similar colours on a cold wash and short cycle. A cold wash uses less energy and is therefore kinder to the environment, and will also prevent your denim from fading. If you’re washing by hand, do not rub or wring your denim. We also recommend washing dark denim before you wear it to avoid colour transfer.

Dry your denim garments on the line, preferably in the shade. We don’t recommend tumble drying, which can cause the fibres in your denim to break down, resulting in shrinkage. Hanging them by the waistband or upside down preserves their shape.. Turn them inside out to protect the colour and shorten drying time.
